DME Obliterates World Records

Joey Gladstone

Everyone expected the DME Racing team to bring their trailer full of championship winning Pro Street Hayabusas to the Manufacturers Cup World Finals at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, but no one expected an all-out assault on the no-bar world record of 6.62 in the quarter mile. That record seemed safely in Saudi racer Mishari Alturki’s hands until sometime this winter.

But DME took the Pro Street rental bike ridden all season by Ehren Litten and fitted it according to Arabian Drag Racing League rules, stretching it to 75 inches, replacing the street tire with a small slick, and bolting on a larger turbo. They put Pro Street champion Joey Gladstone in the seat and the results exceeded all expectations, knocking the record down by over a tenth of a second to 6.50, and at 227 mph the DME bike is the fastest ever in the quarter mile burning anything other than nitro or rocket fuel! And oh yeah, the bike picked up the Pro Open win along the way, beating a full-tilt Pro Extreme Motorcycle in the final.

DME also competed in Orient Express Pro Street with riders Gladstone, Jason Dunigan and Terence Angela. Watch as DME boss Dimey Eddinger, tuner Andy Sawyer and engine builder Skip Gladstone send the bikes to the line for every round of eliminations in this exciting video.
