The 2015 Kibblewhite/Mann Hill Garage Manufacturers Cup World Finals are becoming known as the record-shattering showcase for DME Racing’s hell-on-wheels, 2-tone flat gray, big turbo, Suzuki Hayabusa.
If there were any doubts that Winston-Salem, North Carolina based DME Racing had a firm grasp on the world’s quickest streetbikes of Orient Express Pro Street, they were put to rest once again at the International Drag Bike League’s DME Racing Fall Nationals and Pro Street Battle Royale.
The DME Racing Team experienced an unusual outcome during the 46th Annual Orient Express U.S. Nationals IDBL race. But then again, the whole weekend’s race was an unusual event.
The historic, barrier-breaking run was made at the FIM Euro Finals at Santa Pod Raceway when Steve Venables ran a 6.95 at 212 mph during competition of the Super Street Bike Cup on his all DME Racing bike.
Fresh off their dominant IDBL season opener, DME Racing headed way south to the beautiful island country of for their DragFest event. With new ink in the record books still drying from their Budds Creek race, the team was looking for some relaxation & speed… an oxymoron to say the least.
